Meet Our Counselors

Meet the amazing and dedicated Foster City Elementary School wellness team! Students can reach out to their counselors for questions, guidance, and support.

School psychologists may provide support and consultation to teachers and parents of students experiencing learning and/or behavior problems. Students with an Individual Education Program who exhibit the need for a higher level of care may be recommended to receive Educationally-Related Mental Health Services. Please contact the SMFC Student Services Department for additional information or support at (650) 312-7341.

Elizabeth Johnson (M.S., PPS)

Hi! I'm Ms. Johnson, the school counselor, at Foster City Elementary School. This is my second year working at FCE. I received my Masters in the Science of Counseling and my Pupil Personnel Services Credential at San Francisco State University. Prior to becoming a counselor, I taught at a mental health facility school in San Francisco. I also worked as a substitute teacher and paraeducator for San Francisco State University. Since working at Foster City Elementary, I have enjoyed continuing the counseling traditions here by supporting a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment. I am passionate about helping students with academic and social-emotional achievement. I am specifically interested in teaching young people the lifelong value of mindfulness and building a strong community. I strive to continue learning and practicing inclusion and equitable teaching and counseling practices.
